I think the back-and-forth is going to stop?

If we live long enough and if this board stays active? it's gonna be fun to watch some of the young guys switch to VLM!!!

Frank the problem with Carpet Details is it's a powder

And yes I know Carpet Details does mix rather easily

When I don't know what I'm going to use for a job it's a pain mixing it up at the job

And if I run out on the job then I got to mix it up and it's wasting time

Much easier just using a liquid like VacAway Encap Green 7.5 PH for the nice easy jobs that's similar to Carpet Details

When I know I'm going to use Carpet Details I mix it up at home and take it to the job saving me time

Liquids are just easier to work with



I used VacAway Encap Green with Deotnator (Peroxide) on that job

It says on Website it will never lose strength even after mixed

Can I mix up Carpet Details and not use it for 24-48 hours

I like Carpet Details so much that carry 15 gallons per made up at all time. {keeps mix up forever}

I think it's the best all around cleaner that is safe for everything![cotton wool silk tile and grout]

And so easy to bump up when you need to.

Vacaway is a great product too and very convenient!

In the VLM world there's a lot of great products now!

TM guys can't use everything we can because they're Worried about FOAM

{Heat and hydrogen peroxide, TM guys BE CAREFUL}

VacAway makes a great booster. It's called Spot-n-Boost and they have a green version Spot-n-Boost Green. I always use the Green version because it has less odor. You can add it to any encap at 1-2 oz as a booster

I mostly use it as spotter for Soil Filtration, ink, make up, etc and I mist it on filthy traffic lanes and it does a beautiful job. I love Spot-n-Boost Green

Why, if they don't need it? Your father had crappy chems! He struggled to get good results probably without being a chemist booster. Chems are so much better these days for sure.

IMO if your going to use Carpet Details on filthy hard to clean polyester it needs a boost


Steve Smith at VacAway found the secret to cleaning polyester

VacAway cleans polyester better than anything I have tried

Double Trouble with no boost and very low odor is an outstanding cleaner of polyester

I need to change chems. If I need peroxide, don't use a booster, get a chem with it in it. Blah blah

Chemical manufacturers

start out with a good mix then


they slowly make it weaker and weaker.


then they come out with a new one mix#2 new and improved.


It probably was just original mix formulation

Why would I pay someone to put hydrogen peroxide in my chemical, when I can control that myself.[THINK ABOUT IT]

I'm pretty sure chemicals were pretty good maybe very good in the 50s-60s-and the 70s. They got things very clean!

Then TM came along and they had to figure out how to make chemicals without FOAMING up the waist tank,

that has took years to figure out. to make quality chemicals that don't foam?

I have a pretty good memory for the past 45 years?

What's wrong with foam?
We all drank the Kool-Aid from TM manufacture, chemical companies,
foam is just fine in the VLM world haven't seen any signs of residue in the last 10 years[Trust me, I've been looking]

This one 55 Plus Housing Community has it in every House that has the original Builder Grade carpet. When new customers call I ask if the carpet looks dirty along baseboards and they ask how did you know that

I did one today. Luckily most of the old carpet has been removed but One Bedroom , the loft still had the original carpet. The carpet was spotless but it had soil filtration

I always tell customers before I start that it will be better but not perfect and they understand. If they don't understand I don't take on the job

I used VacAway Spot-n-Boost Green, a drill Brush, a Grout Brush, and a thin piece of aluminum to protect baseboards from drill brush on the soil filtration and VacAway Encap Green with Detonator on the carpet

Run the CRB in straight up to the baseboards when I can and used a thin Microfiber Bonnet on Odyssey to get up as close as possible to baseboard


When I went out to my Van to leave a neighbor asked me for Business Cards. I'm hoping she won't call
